Jewish Bedtime Stories Inc. ("we", "us") is a 501(c)3 non-profit that shares free Torah audio stories for children. This policy explains what information we collect on this website, why, and the choices you have.
Listening without an account
You can listen to our free stories without creating an account. We do not ask for any personal information to listen, and our phone line works without an account too.
Information we collect when you create an account
- Sign in with Google: when you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use them only to create your account, recognise you when you return, and show your account details to you.
- Account activity: your membership status, the stories you buy and the donations you make, so we can show them in "My Account" and give you access to what you paid for.
- A sign-in cookie: a small cookie keeps you signed in. It is used only for signing in, not for advertising or tracking.
Payments and donations
Payments are processed by Stripe and donations by Donorbox. We never see or store your full card number. These services handle your payment details under their own privacy policies; they share with us the information needed to record your membership, purchase or donation (such as your name, email, amount and date) and to send receipts.
How we use your information
- To provide your account, membership and purchased stories.
- To send receipts and important messages about your account or membership.
- To answer you when you contact us.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Children
Our stories are made for children, but accounts, memberships and payments are meant for parents and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your account information while your account is active. You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your account and its information by emailing us. We may need to keep records of payments and donations where the law requires it (for example, for tax receipts).
Service providers
We use trusted providers to run this website: Cloudflare (website hosting and data storage), Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments) and Donorbox (donations). They process information only to provide their services to us.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
